ICDS, LLC - Cogeneration

Cogeneration is the use of power generation technologies within the owner's property to provide electricity to the owner's facilities independent of or in-tandem with the local utility. In addition, cogeneration implies the use of waste heat from the power generation process for improved efficiency. These systems are more recently referred to as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) or Combined Cooling Heat and Power (CCHP) systems.

ICDS can provide you with complete cogeneration design engineering and/or design-build services that include, but are not limited to:

•	Hydrogen Fuel Cell power generation coupled with heat recovery for domestic and service water heating as well as hot water fired absorption cooling
•	Natural gas Microturbine power generation using combustion flue gas to power large absorption chillers for essentially free cooling for facilities with large 24/7 chilled water loads
•	Natural gas Microturbine power generation using combustion exhaust heat recovery for domestic and service water heating
•	Natural gas Microturbine power generation using combustion exhaust heat recovery coupled with hot water to power small absorption chillers for essentially free cooling on smaller chilled water and electrical loads
•	Size, select, and specify back-up and emergency diesel generators for commercial and residential applications
•	Work with wind turbine manufacturers and certified installers to size, select, and specify feasible and economical wind power for energy sustainability
•	Work with photovoltaic panel manufacturers and certified installers to size, select, and specify feasible and economical solar power for energy sustainability
